Job Description
My client a large Regeneration Organisation in the heart of Leeds are looking for a Management Accountant to join their team. The prime objectives of the post are to produce timely and accurate financial management reports for Heads of Service, Project managers, Divisional Accountants and other managers.
You will also be required to Provide financial support and advice to budget holders along with provide support to Divisional Accountants.
Responsibilities of this role include:-
- Preparation of monthly management accounts including variance analysis and resolving budget holder queries
- Project Variance analysis and follow up with project managers
- Preparation of Monthly forecast out-turn for Admin Budgets
- Preparation and posting of accruals and correcting journals.
- Production of ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as required by the Divisional Accountants using Oracle, Business Objects and Microsoft Applications where necessary.
- Assist the Divisional Accountants in the preparation of Directorate Annual Business Plans
- Monthly reconciliation between Oracle and Business Objects for admin and programme expenditure prior to monthly reports being distributed
- Cover for the processing of SRB claims and monitoring actual spend against forecast and budgets
- Attend tender openings
- Monitoring of headcount against budget and reporting any variances to Assistant Divisional Accountant.
- Financial vetting as and when required
- Covering for the Assistant Divisional Accountant as and when applicable
- Assisting with the preparation of budgets
- Uploading of budgets into Oracle
City Centre Location.
Flexible working hours.
You will have past experience of working within a financial environment and you will be studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification.
You will have well developed IT skills and extensive experience of using Microsoft Office applications particular the use of excel being able to demonstrate the manipulation of data in a variety of formats.
You will have good oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain financial issues to non-financial personnel.
In order for application to be accepted you must be:
Part qualified, either ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA
Have a minimum 2:1 degree.
