LOCATION: St Peter Port, Guernsey. Are you a qualified accountant coming from an accountancy firm eager to move into the fast-paced and glamorous world of private equity and alternative investments? Principal responsibilities will be to manage all accounting for a portfolio of private equity funds and clients with the chance to develop your technical accounting skills (US GAAP, IFRS, Limited Partnership accounting) in a highly client facing environment. You'll also have day to day management responsibilities for at least one part qualified accountant who will handle the more process driven work. Past experience has shown that the people who perform best in this role tend to come from an accountancy practice background or a financial reporting role in industry. Private equity experience isn't essential and our client can offer an intensive 3 month training scheme to bring you up to speed on technical knowledge. There are massive career prospects on the cards for those who do well and this is a multi-cultural office with a good mix of British, Irish, Australian, NZ and South African backgrounds. The firm ONLY promotes from within and can offer roles in London and New York for those who perform well and want the opportunity of international secondments. Full re-location package on offer (flights, housing license, one-off re-location payment) plus generous base salary, bonus and benefits.
