Leading entrpreneurial firm that provides an outsourced fund accounting and investor reporting service to a glittering array of private equity and property fund managers is seeking a Senior Accountant to take on an opportunity of a lifetime. This is a great position for someone looking to move away from a pure accounting and reporting based role and will see you manage a small team of 3 (1 Qualified, 2 Part-Qualified) in a highly client facing and organically growing environment. You'll be responsible for managing all fund financial reporting for a diverse portfolio of private equity funds, delve into final stage UK GAAP/IFRS issues, delegate and manage the team's workload and get involved in new client take-ons, business pitches and other advisory work. Opportunities of this high a calibre are few and far between and offer the technical challenges of a financial reporting role coupled with the variety of being in a client facing and project driven role. Even better, this role will be no more than 50% accounting based allowing you to develop crucial operational and management skills. Progression up the ladder into management is most certainly on the cards as the company actively promotes from within. We're looking for a qualified accountant, likely to have trained in an accountancy firm, with strong financial accounting skills and the desire to move into private equity. Obviously any exposure to private equity or fund management would be an advantage but is not essential.
