Job Description
A Bulge Bracket global investment banking, securities and investment management firm requires a VP level Technical Specialist to join its Exotic Trade Review Team, based in London City. The principle aim of the team is to reduce the risk associated with complex derivative transactions by performing independent and thorough manual reviews and will involve intensive interaction with traders, structurers, strategists/quants and documentations teams.
The review process fully covers all aspects of the trade, including:
? Ensuring all the trade economics, pay-off profiles (complex maths formulas) and pricing factors are correctly captured in the product valuation. Identifying material risks with respect to modelling and booking methodology deficiencies as well as discrepancies with the trade documentation.
? Proposing booking, model and documentation amendments and co-ordinating the implementation of enhancements.
The Exotic Trade Review team has excellent and very comprehensive exposure to almost all derivative asset classes. The team is globally responsible for the review of the following exotic asset classes:
? Credit Derivatives
? Equity Derivatives
? Fund Derivatives
? Interest Rate Products
? EMTN
? FX
? Structured Warrants
? Structured Certificates
? Hybrids
The candidate will be expected to gain thorough knowledge of two to three asset classes and relevant risk management systems within first 12 months.
The successful candidate will possess a strong exotic derivatives product knowledge with experience in structured Equities, FX and/or Fund Derivatives preferred. A mathematics/quant background is preferable. Please quote ref: SB107284
