Job Profile
The Disease Team is responsible for handling all disease claims. In addition, pollution and contamination covers exist. The primary role is to investigate, negotiate and settle claims within the agreed authority level in accordance with the company requirements whilst providing a high standard of customer service. The main duties are to drive down claims spend, notify new claims and deal with them in a proactive manner, carry out claims investigations to determine liability and causation, correspond proactively and value personal injury claims. You will handle; Noise Induced Deafness, Vibration White Finger, Occupational Asthma, Occupational Dermatitis, WRULD, Cumulative Back and Asbestos Related Disease Claims. You will also negotiate third party costs, maintain own caseload and assist other team members when required and actively participate in hitting team targets.

Applicant Requirements
Our client is seeking a claims specialist who understands the technical claims environment. Past experience of handling disease claims is desirable. Applications from those without disease experience will be considered, but you will need sound Casualty skills formed over a period of time and be able to demonstrate a forensic and methodical approach to the assessment of policy liability. Specific disease training will be given. Achievement or progress towards CII exams is desired. Applicants should be PC Literate, able to achieve results and meet targets and be proactive in their claims handling style. An enthusiastic, positive person is sought, who is a good team player willing to assist others where needed be, adaptable to the needs of a highly successful team.
