Newly Qualified Accountant (Financial Services)

Salary £40,000 - £50,000

My client within the financial services area have a vacancy for a newly qualified accountant with some exposure to the financial markets. This role will suit an all-round team player who is willing to get involved in areas outside of their specific role and thrives on working in a fast paced, dynamic and challenging environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Daily P&L reporting to traders
• Reconciliation of trader positions and investigation of reconciling items
• Perform the month-end close for the business in accordance with the corporate timetable including reconciliation of GL balances
• Ensuring trader queries/requests are resolved
• Participate in systems implementations & group projects and preparation of management information reports
• Consolidating and analysing trading results

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• excellent spreadsheet skills
• Control focused and strong attention to detail
