Job Description
Commodities lawyer sought by market leading financial institution.
A well respected City based financial institution is looking for an additional hire for their capital markets legal team. The purpose of the role is to support the physical gas, power and emissions trading activities of the commodities product line through negotiation of product confirmations and master agreements. This is a highly visible role requiring a standalone lawyer to provide a transaction management function in respect of all such transactions.
The successful candidate will be an English qualified solicitor/barrister with solid experience of physical gas, power and emissions products and their documentation, as well as good knowledge of OTC commodity derivatives, fixed income and FX. You will also have experience in structuring cross border transactions and managing issues involved.
