Job Description
My Client is looking for a qualified accountant to work as a Senior Analyst/Management accountant in the local branch. Reporting to the Financial Controller in Head Office, this is a maternity leave contract for up to 9 months.
Job Purpose:
To ensure there is accurate and timely financial reporting across the Branch business units. To prepare financial management information (including KPI's), contributing towards the Branch management information. To drive strong financial due diligence in the local area providing support in understanding and challenging financial performance
Principle Duties
- Produce monthly performance reports, and communicate to non-finance staff
- Assist preparation of a consolidated performance report
-Assist with the production of Branch performance reports
- Prepare monthly unit cost reports, participate in the process of continuous improvement and communicate to managers
- Participate in cross unit reviews to compare unit costs, understanding variances and work with the business to improve efficiency
- Challenge costs and improve financial performance, develop meaningful MI
- Prepare information for the preparation and the production of the regulatory reporting pack
- Provide support to the production of the Asset Management plan
- Support the Branch in delivering a robust internal controls framework
- Make recommendations as necessary to improve the system of internal control and act accordingly when requested
