If you are an oil and gas tax specialist looking for your next challenge, this fascinating role with a leading oil & gas specialist is a rare opportunity requiring the specialist knowledge and skills of an expert in this sector. Working closely with the tax director, this role not only offers an impressive breadth of work, but for the right candidate there is open opportunity to progress to director level in time.

This challenging role will see you managing all UK taxation issues for the Group, providing advice and input for all business decisions to optimise the Group's UK tax position and minimise any exposures. You will oversee the preparation and submission of UK tax returns, deal with third party negotiations, supervise all transfer pricing issues in relation to the UK for the Group, and advise management on range of business issues including acquisitions, disposals and efficient financing.

For this position, it is key that you have a sound and thorough knowledge of UK, UKCS and international taxation, including direct experience of upstream oil industry taxation which has been kept up to date. It is anticipated that you will hold a professional accountancy qualification (or have equivalent experience) and that you have notable experience in a major accountancy firm or international group of companies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as integrity, motivation and a strong professional reputation.
