Job Description
Job- Assistant Finance Manager
Location- London
My client, a prominent central government department requires an assistant finance manager to assist with one of the largest current projects in the UK next to the Olympic games.
The job will predominantly be to assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, monthly management and project accounts. Successful candidates will provide ad hoc financial spreadsheets and update others, provide reconciliations as required, assist in the preparation of financial reporting packages and monitoring costs against budgets for meetings.
My client is looking for candidate with at least three years experience of financial and accounting procedures. Experiences of the following are essential:
·Purchase Ledger
·Ordering and staff pay issues
·Knowledge of Phoenix E-procurement
·Use of Oracle Financial
·Knowledge of Government Resource Accounting
·Budgeting
·Financial Management of major projects
·Knowledge of HOPPS payroll procedures
This role is a fantastic chance for a part qualified accountant to expand on their current skill set whilst gaining experience within the central government sector.
It is a long-term temporary assignment for between 3 to 6 months.
Large, modern open plan offices.
