Job Description
- Preparation of technical accounting reports for significant transactions (eg acquisitions, BEE transactions)
- Building strong working relationships with all operations and building a strong understanding of their business and their issues
- Training for operations on relevant technical issues specifically in advance of interim and year-end reporting
- Discussing technical and related issues with the auditors in advance of mid-year and year-end reporting.
- Assisting accounting team with the implementation of structural transactions in HFM (Group consolidation system).
- Control of accounting issues resulting from disposal or acquisition of interests in companies e.g. responsibility for service level agreements.

interpersonal skills (enjoys working as a team), including ability to work with colleagues in, operations, Divisions, central offices and liaison with external auditors·
liaison and organisational skills ·
understanding of commercial and technical accounting issues, including detailed understanding of IFRS. ·
experience of Group consolidations and external interim and year-end reporting
