LOCATION: St Helier, Jersey. Earn the same money as London but work less hours and pay less tax! Our client is looking for several part qualified/qualified by experience Accounts Assistants (financial services experience not essential) to join their global headquarters in Jersey! This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in private equity, real estate and accounting for offshore funds. Principal responsibilities will be to support a Qualified Accountant and manage all day to day accounting up to trial balance for a basket of funds with the chance to develop your technical accounting skills (UK/US GAAP, IFRS) in a challenging, busy and varied environment. We are completely open on your background and welcome applicants from commerce, accountancy firms and financial services companies. Exposure to funds isn't essential and our client can offer an intensive 3 month training scheme to bring you up to speed on technical knowledge. There are massive career prospects on the cards for those who do well and this is a multi-cultural office with a good mix of British, Irish, Australian, NZ and South African backgrounds. The firm ONLY promotes from within and can offer roles in London and New York for those who perform well and offer full training to allow you to progress into a Qualified Accounting role.
