Assistant Accountant / Accounts Assistant Operations
Central London NW1
£22,000 - £26,000 plus Season Ticket Loan, Contributory Final Salary Pension Scheme, On-Site Swimming Pool and Gym

An opportunity has now arisen for an Assistant Accountant / Accounts Assistant to join their Operations department.
The Operations Department aims to deliver end to end services to the School to support its key strategic priorities. Within this department, the Assistant Accountant / Accounts Assistant will be responsible for bank reconciliations for all small companies within the Group and will work with the Accounts Manager to produce and review monthly control files.
The Assistant Accountant / Accounts Assistant will also:
- Work with the Accounts Manager to produce draft statutory accounts and audit files
- Provide support to the Accounts Manager with servicing the needs of the Students' Association
- Follow up outstanding items in monthly control reconciliations
- Produce regular financial and statistical reports as required
To fulfil this remit, the Assistant Accountant / Accounts Assistant will require good GCSE (or equivalent) grades including English and Mathematics. It would also be advantageous for you to be studying towards or eager to pursue an Accountancy qualification. You will require good IT skills and excellent customer service skills, and will need to be well organised, work well with others under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail. In addition, the successful candidate will also have experience of working discreetly with sensitive information in an Accounts department.
