Job Description

- Ensure good monthly routines are maintained for financial closing and balance sheet reconciliation. This includes group accounting reporting.
- Production of statutory accounts and ensures compliance with regulatory authority requirements (e.g. VAT etc.).
Preparation of Corporation tax.
- Manage an Accounts department of five. Includes recruitment, training, appraisal and disciplinary issues. Champion proactively within the team and develop a strong customer service focus.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable and cash collection
- Oversee the AP function including payments
- Oversee the payroll function ensuring it is correctly processed and all associated reporting complete.
- Ensure appropriate financial controls are defined via the authorisation book.
Take ownership of financial policy and ensuring continuous improvement of financial systems, processes and procedures. Interface with IT for accounting software development.
·Liaise with Financial Controller & IT department
·Provide assistance to the HR Manager and the out-sourced payroll providers
·Liaise with auditors
·Liaise with accounting software contractors
·Good working relationships with customers & suppliers
·Correct, timely and complete financial administration (e.g. GL, AP & AR).
·Complete, correct and timely reporting of P&L, BS and associated reports.
·Internal procedure and processes allow the company to meet financial and statutory requirements.
