Financial Controller (Software Industry)
Uxbridge, Middlesex
Up to £45,000 DOE Plus Excellent Benefits Package
Our client is a leading global provider of customer relationship management (CRM) applications, decision support tools and eBusiness systems. Chosen globally as a strategic partner by many of the world's top businesses, their solutions have been implemented in over 20 countries in 12 languages. An opportunity has now arisen for a Financial Controller to join their team.
Reporting to the EMEA Managing Director, in this stand alone position you will be responsible for providing financial guidance for the growing European business, as well as accounting, financial performance analysis, support for European initiatives and regulatory and tax filings. You will also be involved at a high level with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning strategies.
Whilst assuming full responsibility for the accounting function, as the Financial Controller your main duties will include:
- preparing consolidation reports, cash flows and budgets
- consolidating group accounts preparing key financial data and commentary
- month end reporting controlling overall costs, posting of journals, analysis and understanding the business as a whole
- analytically reviewing the performance and outlook of the Group
- tracking creditors/debtors across Europe and running payroll
- working with local bookkeeping and accounting functions
To succeed in this position you must be a qualified Accountant (ACCA or CIMA) with solid commercial experience, ideally within the software industry. Our client also welcomes applications from part qualified or QBE candidates. You should also have excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, and an eye for detail and accuracy.
Additionally, as the Financial Controller you will have strong analytical skills and organisational abilities, as well as a commercially aware and goal driven approach. Your ability to communicate with people at all levels is also essential, as is your proactive approach to problem solving.
