Job Description

Accounts Assistant required to be responsible for bank reconciliations and expenses. This is a key role for the business and you will be required to reconcile a number of bank accounts, investigating discrepancies and abnormalities. You will also be responsible for employee expenses, checking claims are supported by receipts and in line with company policy and giving them correct codes. You will also assist with purchase ledger at busy times and maintain the petty cash. 8.30 - 4.30 Monday to Friday.
You will have strong experience in bank reconciliation and good communication skills. You will have used an accounts software package and Excel in a work environment. An eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure are also important attributes. Purchase ledger experience is also essential as you will be assisting the team with this at busy times.
My client are a manufacturing and distribution business based on the outskirts of Birmingham City Centre in Hockley. You will be working in a small, friendly accounts team in pleasant offices with parking available on site. This is a great opportunity for someone with a flexible approach to work who enjoys working within a fairly small team.
