Job Description

Fantastic and incredibly rare opportunity to head up the UK financial control team of this leading asset management house for an initial 18 month maternity contract cover. Our client is a well-known and high profile fund manager going through huge change on an international scale so presents the opportunity of managing a BAU function currently undergoing a complete transformation in terms of their remit and response to what will be an enlarged and consolidated investment management business. The role will oversee a team of 18 accountants covering all day to day accounting, reporting and financial control for the current UK business. You'll need to have credible experience in fund management, banking or financial services with experience of delivering and managing large teams in a highly complex reporting environment. Experience of regulatory reporting (FSA) and strong statutory accounting knowledge around IFRS is highly desirable. There is a strong likelihood the role could lead to a permanent appointment within the business should you perform well and impress. Ideal start date of end September/early October 2008.
