Job Description
Our client is a global market leader within the FMCG sector who are continuing to grow both organically and via acquisition. As part of this ongoing development, they are looking for a Commercial Accountant to operate from one of their subsidiaries based between York and Hull.
Reporting to the Business Finance Director, this challenging role will initially involve implementing business performance reporting and business processes within the UK and mainland Europe. You will take responsibility for the maintenance and development of commercial performance monitoring, working closely with the Commercial, R&D and Purchasing functions. In addition, you will also conduct operational cost analysis projects. As the Group have a proven track record of career progression, this will suit an ambitious candidate who eventually aspires to become a Senior Manager or Finance Director. You will be a qualified or part-qualified finalist CIMA, ACCA or ACA ideally with experience within a Manufacturing or related environment. Key criteria include management accounting experience, strong systems knowledge, and a high degree of Excel skills. Equally as important is the ability and confidence to manage and drive projects, have a strong work ethic, consider yourself to be a grounded, well balanced person, hold a good academic background, and possess the necessary commercial acumen to help drive the business forward.
