Job Description

The Group financial accountant, along with two other financial accountants, would report to the Group Reporting Manager in respect of :

· Preparation of monthly Corporate Division report and management of the Corporate Division issues and reporting process, communicating with Johannesburg, Luxembourg and Australian Corporate offices and relevant departments in London
· Review of Coromin Bermuda Insurance accounts and liaison with Coromin for financial reporting purposes
· Liaison with Divisions to continually improve processes and discuss issues. Production of issues report
· Preparation of quarterly Group consolidation
· Preparation of Annual Report and interim release
· Input to Audit Committee Reports
· Working with Group Technical Manager on technical accounting issues and impact of new financial reporting standards
· Improvement of Group consolidation processes
· Liaison with external auditors to ensure smooth and efficient running of audit
· Focus on proper treatment of high value Group items such as acquisitions and other transactions, impairments and reorganisations
· Assistance to Planning team as required
· Other special projects
