Payroll Bureau Clerk wanted by this Leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Leeds City Centre
My client, a leading firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors require a skilled Payroll Bureau Clerk. The firm offers a friendly working environment with excellent benefits as well as the opportunity of progression.  The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an efficient and accurate outsourced weekly and monthly payroll service to clients using computerised data working within a team of 4. Using attention to detail skills and operating in an environment with strong focus on data input and a working knowledge of payroll administration, the jobholder will liaise with clients in a busy department.
Duties:


- To calculate weekly and monthly payrolls based on information provided by employers, meeting strict deadlines and providing accurate figures.
- To input and process information received from clients and clarify any queries arising.
- To set up new staff on payroll systems, create P45's and leaving documentation and ensure any other key payments are processed such as bonuses, maternity/paternity pay etc.
- To handle queries raised by clients on matters such as under/over payments, Tax, NIC and overtime.
- To forward invoices, payslips and any other information required by the employer.
- To ensure all records are maintained accurately and in the manner prescribed by the firm.
- To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of payroll administration and legislation. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of all areas of payroll and have at least 3 years experience.
