The Isle of Anglesey County Council came into existence in April 1996 following local government re-organisation and is responsible for providing all local government services on Anglesey. The council have a vision to make Anglesey a thriving and successful island, a place where people want to be.
 
They now have an opportunity for a qualified accountant to join their vision and aim to make Anglesey the ‘Island of Choice'.
 
Purpose of the job:  

To manage a team of staff providing a range of financial support services to several of the Authority's Departments (Social Services & Housing, Environmental & Technical, Finance and Managing Director's Departments).
 
Principle Accountabilities

• To lead and develop a team of accountants and support staff
• Responsibility for revenue budgets and the preparation of final accounts and returns
• Responsible for all aspects of corporate budgeting, accounting and final accounts across the service sectors
• Provide financial advice to managers
• To contribute to the financial administration of the authority at an appropriate level

Candidates will hold a CCAB Qualification with 2 years post qualification experience. Ideally candidates will have knowledge of Housing or Social Services Finance, but not essential, and will be fully conversant with the preparation of budgets and final accounts.

Dylid yr ymgeiswyr fod a chymhwyster cyfrifydd CCAB gyda dwy flynedd o brofiad ôl-gymhwyster mewn maes tebyg. Yn ddelfrydol, dylid ymgeiswyr fod â gwybodaeth o gyllid Tai neu Wasanaethau Cymdeithasol a dylid fod yn hollol gyfarwydd gyda darparu cyllidebau a chyfrifon terfynol.
