Job Description
Finance Planning and Management Information x2 £70,000 - £100,000 + bonus + benefits
This highly prominent and high profile institution has implemented a number of recent changes across Finance, Planning and MI as part of a wider project to rationalise overlapping operational functions and to support the establishment of a concentrated Operations Business Unit.
Due to the organisation looking to move forward the Business Partering team requires two senior managers to manage two teams of six associates to provide an intergrated and seamless finance, planning and MI service to the BU.
This job involves:
Stakeholder Management
. Represent the whole of FPMI to the Business Unit
. Be the prime point of contact for senior stakeholders and managing the ongoing relationship and any issues arising between FPMI and the business
. Help shape strategic initiatives to align them with customer's objectives and business strategy
Organisational
. In conjunction with a key network of contacts across the business including Strategy & Risk, monitor and manage portfolio level risks, issues and dependencies.
. Ability to draw on specialisms within FPMI and motivate staff
Functional
. Anticipate potential changes in business needs. Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships on a day to day basis to enable pro-active interface between the BU's, their divisions and FPMI
. Develop and maintain an integrated rolling business plan, compliant with governance regulations and business standards
. Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of the business areas and how each division delivers its objectives in terms of resource requirements, processes and work plans
. Deliver appropriately tailored, action orientated management information and analysis to the business, (collaborating with HR and Strategy and Risk Business Partners) to enable effective decision making.
. Ownership of Director, MD and HoD and relationship for FPMI
Skills required:
. Demonstrate strong influencing, interpersonal and communication skills, balanced with tact and diplomacy and confidence in dealing with staff at all levels
. Build a team capable of developing and maintaining the business unit's 3-5 year business plan
. Strategic vision
. Gravitas to manage upwards and influence senior management, particularly at Managing Director level
. Set stretching and challenging targets for line management and be willing to undertake coaching and mentoring to aid them in achieving these.
MBA of Accountancy Qualification would be advantageous.
