This market-leading accountancy firm with offices in London and Paris provides strategic planning and practical solutions in all areas of accountancy, from tax through to audit, for HNW private clients, entrepreneurs and their businesses. The company prides itself on building long-term relationships with its clients and staff most of the partners have developed their careers with the firm and see staff development as vital to its continued success.
In line with the expansion of its management team, the company now requires a tax manager/senior manager. Opportunities for partnership are well defined and progression is based on merit and competence rather than longevity.
Working closely with the partners, the successful candidate will offer technical expertise in relation to high-level planning and ad hoc projects. You will liaise directly with other professionals within the firm and have the opportunity to fill a consultancy role and oversee a small portfolio of clients. In addition, you will be responsible for creating long-term tax structures and advising on short-term issues facing clients.
The role will encompass involvement in a wide variety of disciplines, including VAT, corporate tax and personal tax. There will be a specific focus on transactional work, including planning for corporate transactions and complex CGT planning, and you will be required to take account of the interactions of various taxes which impact on these transactions. Other duties include reviewing compliance for clients and providing advisory services.
Applicants should be ACA and CTA qualified with excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to provide high quality work. Experience of advising on complex transactions and the interaction of all taxes is essential, and you will need to be able to research complex tax issues and provide bespoke planning solutions for your clients. The partners will encourage you to generate business through networking and referral, so a proven track record in this area would be advantageous.
