Job Description
Temporary Senior Accountant required for a period 12 months to cover maternity leave. My client is looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced professional to join their team of accountants. Duties will include the preparation and maintenance of budget working papers. The investigation and provision of advice to Management on budget variances. The preparation of all relevant grant claims and statistical returns. The preparation and reconciliation of all relevant Final Account working papers to the Financial Management System.
The successful candidate will be a part qualified accountant (minimum AAT qualified), with three years relevant experience in the preparation of annual budgets, effective budgetary control and final accounts in the public sector preferably in a local authority.
It is essential that any applicant can demonstrate the ability to prioritise work and meet strict deadlines. All applicants will be required to demonstrate experience of using PC and online computer systems. They provide on site parking and flexible working hours.
Only applicants with a suitable amount of UK based finance experience and who have a legal right to work within the UK will be considered.
