Assistant Accountant

Role

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for preparing monthly accounts, IFSRA returns and other returns as required. The role will also involve checking information on the accounting systems for accuracy.  You will also prepare reconciliations and pricing information relating to our investments to agreed timetables. Additionally, you will be required to prepare detailed analysis, calculations and reports and to liaise with other areas of the business and with auditors as required.  Other key duties involve keeping all procedure notes up to-date and to carry out any ad hoc projects, procedural improvements and investigations as required.

Candidate
The successful candidate will have at least 4 years experience working in an accounts department, of which 3 years should be in an Investment department. Substantial progress in a recognised accountancy qualification - ACCA, CIMA.  You must be able to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and numeracy, along with analytical, PC  (MS Office) and problem-solving skills and have a proven track record in meeting tight deadlines. In addition, you will be a confident communicator, a driven team player and have the ability to work on your own initiative.
