Job Description
Payroll Clerk required to work within a large public sector organisation, reporting into the payroll supervisor. Working in a large payroll department, the payroll clerk will be responsible for processing the payroll of his/her own department(s) and be responsible for processing all starters and leavers, year end, and timesheet calculations.
The payroll clerk will have previous and relevant payroll experience, with an excellent telephone manner and customer service skills. The payroll clerk will have an excellent and in-depth understanding of tax codes and completion of online HMRC or tax form completion. With good academic qualifications and an ability to learn and develop, the right candidate should also be an excellent team player and a genuinely friendly and outgoing individual.
My client is based in Halifax centre, with access to parking and easily accessible by car.
