Job Description
Audit Manager
Our client is a four partner practice with over twenty staff offering professional accounting, taxation and business advisory services to a large network of clients throughout Ireland and Europe. They are a dynamic, young practice which has grown rapidly in recent years. They now wish to add to our experienced team of professionals who are dedicated to providing expert advice to our clients. They are currently seeking to recruit an Audit Manager for their practice based in Dublin 2.
The Role:
The role involves planning, performing and supervising a broad variety of audits. The manager is responsible for organising and managing client assignments and projects including the completion of assignment tasks and project components as well as coaching, advising, and directing team members.
Reporting directly to partner level, the responsibilities include:
- Planning and schedule accounting and audits assignments
- Liaising onsite with clients to obtain relevant information in order to resolve any queries
- Investigating all audit issues to arrive at a solution or proposal
- Preparing reports detailing issues found and recommending corrective and preventative actions to resolve them
- Supervision, leading and developing staff
- Review of the team’s work to ensure quality, thoroughness and completion of assignment tasks within agreed time frames.
- Work as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks.
- Identify added value consultancy and cross selling opportunities
- Improve assignment profitability and identifies any risk management issues.
- Actively support and promote new initiatives.
- Completion of ad hoc, due diligence and consultancy assignments
- Achieving productivity levels in terms of own chargeable hours/section as a whole
Requirements:
- Degree qualification and relevant professional accreditation with 2 years PQE
- Strong technical knowledge and interpersonal skills.
- Project management skills with an ability to co-ordinate and coach a team.
- Ability to develop effective relationships with clients.
- Creative problem solving ability, team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
