Job Description

Compliance Manager

Our client is an excellent professional services practice firm with a significant presence in the market place. With over 80 professional staff and 8 Partners, they are a well regarded and dynamic firm and leaders in their core areas. They offer a full range of financial services such as audit, taxation, corporate finance, transaction services, personal finance, financial outsourcing and IT consultancy.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish, maintain and develop a post qualification training programme using both internal and external resources to ensure the optimum availability and utilisation of resources and assist professional staff to comply with CPD obligations
  • Maintain and develop the quality control systems within the practice including the performance of file reviews in accordance with quality control parameters set
  • Develop and deliver technical updates and publications to internal staff and where appropriate to external parties or bodies
  • Provide a facility for consultation on technical accounting, auditing, financial reporting and other regulatory issues
  • Complete special reviews/projects as required by the Partners
  • Conduct research and produce a report based on findings including recommendations where appropriate

 

Experience:

  • A qualified Accountant ACCA, ACA or CPA with a minimum of 2 years PQE
  • Previous exposure in a technical advisory and or compliance role would be an advantage

 

Required Skills:

  • Self starter who is able to use initiative and work autonomously
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong system skills in MS Office 
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data
  • Aptitude for process improvement or process re-engineering
  • Motivated individual who can drive projects to conclusion
  • Must be able to work independently and also as part of a team
  • Ability to make informed decisions
