Assistant Controller

Background:
Our client is a leading public e-gaming software developer and supplier (NASDAQ: CRYP).
The Finance team, located in Dublin, is the Worldwide Headquarters of large publicly traded company listed on the NASDAQ, LSE and Toronto Stock exchanges.  They are in the process of migrating from their previous HQ to Dublin, Ireland.  This opportunity offers the ability to assist in building a team from the ground up, migrating the activity to Dublin and becoming a significant contributor to their finance executives.

Job Purpose: 
The assistant controller primarily responsibilities are to manage the financial statement close process.  This process includes the consolidation, sox compliance, reporting their results to the Board and the investing public.  Ideally they would like this candidate to be able to contribute to completion of complex accounting matters including compliance with US GAAP and IFRS on significant transactions (M&A, financial instruments), draft note disclosures, and prepare their Managements Discussion and Analysis.  This is a hands on roll that is suited to detailed oriented trained accountant.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day accounting and month-end reporting for the WW headquarters. Prepare monthly reports to the Board of Directors, Audit Committee. 
  • Responsible for fiscal compliance of each legal entity, including all tax, financial statement (i.e. statutory accounts).
  • Supervise an accounting team of approximately 5 people. 
  • Contribute the budgeting and forecasting of the worldwide company.
  • Liaise with external auditors.
  • Business partner with various business leaders in the organization.
  • Initially migrate the activity from Toronto to Dublin.
