Job Description
Bookkeeper required to wok within a private sector company providing financial support for the local community. The bookkeeper will be in charge of the accounts for the organisation, responsible for the accounts preparation, providing the financial reports to the board, and liaising with some public sector organisations. There will be a high level of responsibility for the role with maintenance of the cashbook a high priority along with a genuinely diverse and interesting role.
The bookkeeper should have previous and relevant accounts experience, with an excellent level of experience. The bookkeeper should be able to learn quickly, have a high aptitude in report production, and have excellent excel and accountancy system experience. The ideal candidate must be able to set their own workloads and be willing to work to deadlines. Previous experience of working in a public sector or financial institution would be beneficial along with professional qualifications would be a benefit although not essential.
My client, based in Halifax, is easily accessible by both public transport and car and offers a great environment to work in. Operating in the private sector with some public funding, my client has a long history of working in the community with a great employee focus and excellent working environment.
