Qualified ACA looking for corporate finance opportunities? It's tough in this market, but a great opportunity has come up with a corporate finance firm founded by former accountants. This firm seldom has to pitch for business and has consistently leveraged on contacts and networks to bring strong clients through the door and maintain a high level of fee generation. Following the recent acquisition of a media focused firm, the company will continue in its generalist vein while having a dedicated team of media specialists. The acquisition means there are very strong people at the management level, but the firm needs to grow at the associate level.
Responsibilities will include working on an entire deal process, everything from pitching, liaising with investors, participating in negotiations to arranging financing. An ideal background would be a qualified accountant who has spent some time in transaction services but is looking to move to a small, entrepreneurial corporate finance environment. You must have very strong academics, and a demonstrable familiarity with media would be a plus, but not essential. Attitude is important for this firm and someone with the willingness to get his/her hands dirty and to work in a smaller, more flexible environment will excel here.
