Job Description
THE COMPANY:
A leading independent hedge fund manager specialising in event-driven, credit and asset-backed securities are currently looking to recruit a Marketing Analyst, reporting directly into the Head of Marketing and Investor Relations.
THE ROLE:
Investor Relations and Shareholder Services
Supporting the co-ordination of client relationship management including client development, cross-selling and maintenance activities
Referral person for questions on funds (due-diligence), presentations and other marketing materials
Prepare fund performance reviews – weekly and ad-hoc / on request
Development and maintenance of internal client database
Corporate and Product Marketing
Updating Company briefing documents
Assisting with the preparation of and updating presentation materials on existing products
Assisting with the presentation materials for new products
Maintenance of the firm’s electronic marketing efforts including supervision of Web site maintenance
Administration of company wide marketing database
Liaison with Finance Department and report results of cooperative marketing – e.g. banks, brokers, other intermediaries (fees, rebates, splits)
Market Intelligence process
Research on pricing and distribution strategy for the organization – direct and indirect
Research, analyse, and monitor materials and activity of competitive companies in the hedge fund industry so that market opportunities may be capitalized on
THE CANDIDATE:
Excellent academics
At least two years’ experience with an investment bank or hedge fund in Client Services
Familiarity with fund accounting including NAV and related calculations
Strong analytical and financial background
Keen interest in alternative investments
Ability to co-ordinate and manage several projects on an ongoing basis
