Job Description

My client is urgently seeking an experienced payroll coordinator to come and join their finance team to work 2 (possibly 3) days a week.

The role:
You will be responsible for 3 separate payment runs; 2 fortnightly and 1 monthly using the Exchequer system
Ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees' salaries via BACS transfer
To manage payroll processing from start to finish including Year Ends and manual calculations.
Act as first point of contact for all payroll queries; Answering employee enquiries i.e. SSP, SMP, student loans and Inland Revenue Benefit Agency, the production of P60, P45 and P11D statements, and paying monthly Tax and NI.
To undertake any other appropriate duties as required by the Director of Finance & Administration.

The successful candidate:
Highly organised with an ability to work alone and within a team
Good working knowledge of payroll packages (Working knowledge of Exchequer/IRIS payroll package is preferred)
Previous experience of managing payroll from start to finish including Year Ends and manual calculations
Previous experience within the Charity sector, preferably within Arts or Education is desirable
IPP or any other payroll qualification / training is desirable
