Software Support Analyst / Helpdesk Support Technician Financial Applications

Our client provides the highest quality finance software to many UK organisations. They are currently looking to recruit a highly motivated and professional Software Support Analyst / Helpdesk Support Technician to join their team in Clifton, Bristol.
In this role you will be responsible for supporting and resolving customer's application issues over the telephone. Your position will involve working primarily on the telephone dealing with all level of Finance users ranging from data entry clerks to Finance Directors. You will work in a close knit team, within a company where you will have a voice and opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the company.
As a Software Support Analyst / Helpdesk Support Technician your main responsibilities will include:
- Logging new support calls reported via telephone and email
- Monitoring the Application Support helpdesk queue and responding to calls within SLA's
- Addressing user queries regarding use of the company's applications
- Responding to, and progressing logs using software vendors and other technical resources
- Logging and processing requests for change
- Producing documentation and controlling testing of application patches and new releases
To succeed in this position you must have a proven track record in delivering top-level support and customer service in a software support or helpdesk role. Any financial qualifications or accountancy experience would be highly beneficial, but aren't essential.
Additionally, as a Software Support Analyst / Helpdesk Support Technician you must have excellent organisational and time management skills, and the ability to work as an effective member of the team. You must also have strong communication skills, and the ability to instill confidence with their customers and build lasting relationships with other internal teams and with suppliers.
