Job Description
An established investment bank is looking to recruit an Assistant Manager to manage the Accounting Service Department team & help achieve outstanding accounting service for 2 Group Finance companies.
The 2 companies borrow from the market by issuing MTN's & ECP and lend to group companies.
Accounting services provided include bookkeeping, reporting monthly results, preparation of financial statements & co-ordination of external audit
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Manage team of 2 personnel (1 qualified Accountant, 1 PQ Accountant) to ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting service requirement.
- Liaise with external auditors to plan and co-ordinate audits for each company.
- Continually apply and review accounting treatments under Local GAAP & US GAAP.
- Assist in any necessary change of accounting system.
- Business travel required (Netherlands).
This role would suit a qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA or equivalent) with excellent academics.
Previous experience in managing a medium sized department as well as experience in project management and business development is required for this role. Excellent knowledge of financial instruments and accounting treatments (UK GAAP & US GAAP) e.g. interest rate & currency swaps used for hedging purposes is essential.
