Job Description
Legal Cashier required for a contract position based in Birmingham City Centre. You will be responsible for bank reconciliation, processing payments and dealing with receipts and documents arriving in the accounts department. You will also be required to undertake purchase ledger duties and expense processing. You will be required to adhere to solicitors accounts rules and ensure that other departments are working to the company's policies and giving guidelines for accounts procedures.
You will be an experienced accounts assistant, ideally with experience from working within a law firm. This role requires somebody with strong Excel skills who is well versed in accounts software packages. As you will be dealing with various employees of the business, communication skills are extremely important, both written and verbal. You will be a well organised individual who takes pride in your work who likes to get things right first time.
My client are a leading law firm based in Birmingham City Centre. They have a hard working approach but also recognise that people need to enjoy life which is a refreshing attitude in the fast paced business world. They specialize in business law and also offer services to individuals. This is a new role within the business and is a 6 month contract initially.
Only applicants with a suitable amount of UK based finance experience and who have a legal right to work within the UK will be considered.
