Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Product Controller to join the Structure Credit Trading and Equity division within a highly respected Top Tier Investment Bank. This position is within the EMEA Finance team and supports the Structured Credit Trading and Equities businesses. Our client is a global Investment Banking group who provides investment banking, equity and debt capital raising, research, trading, risk management, treasury management and financial advisory services to companies.
The key responsibilities for the Product Controller Structure Credit Trading and Equity, EMEA Finance include:
-Producing daily commentary for senior management on the main drivers of the PnL dependent on an understanding of the products, markets and underlying trading strategies.
-The production of monthly price verification reports initially primarily on the structured credit
businesses and subsequently also in the Equity derivatives business.
-Being responsible for reserving calculations and control.
-Dealing with daily ad hoc P&L and reserving issues. The candidate will be capable of acting on
their own initiative and confident talking to Front Office and Risk on issue identification and
resolution.
The ideal candidate should have an accountancy qualification or similar along with experience in an investment banking environment with exposure to derivatives or alternatively experience gained from major exposure to investment banking clients in practice.
