Financial Analyst
Our Client:
Our client is a large Energy Supply business and is seeking a Financial Analyst for their Energy Trading and Regulation division.
The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity in an evolving and dynamic area of the business which is operating in the recently introduced all-island market. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Financial Analyst will concentrate on financial management and delivering financial reporting (group, management & statutory) for the Energy Trading & Regulation business, within a strong risk control framework.
Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Timely and accurate Management and financial reporting of energy sales and costs on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, to tight deadlines
- Preparing budget and forecast electricity sales and costs in line with business and Corporate requirements
- Implementing reporting improvement initiatives
- Financial modelling to support business decision making
- Managing credit cover requirements
- Interpretation and application of International Accounting Standards (IAS)
- Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting for financial and non-financial KPIs
- Liaising with Group Finance, Internal and External Auditors and Consultants
- Governance, control and risk analysis
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant with up to 2 years post qualified experience
- IFRS and statutory reporting experience
- SAP experience desirable but not essential
- Proficient in the use of excel
- Financial Modelling experience is an advantage
