Reputable for working with some of Europe's largest multiple retailers, our client is a niche and dynamic, health and beauty company with an international brand. They are currently looking to recruit a very commercial Financial Director to run their finance and operational functions.
As the Financial Director you will initially be the sole financial professional, responsible for supporting the sales, marketing and management functions of a small team as they move the brand and the organisation forward. In this role you will get the chance to make a real impact - with opportunities ranging from setting up operations in the USA, to negotiating with suppliers/clients such as Tesco and Sainsburys.
This is an incredibly exciting time for the organisation and as such a can-do, commercial approach is of absolute importance. Your role will focus on providing input into all aspects of the business and growing with the company, and will encompass reporting and accounting, operations and management duties.
As the Financial Director you will take responsibility for:
- the entire accounting function maintenance of accounts, weekly forecasting, reporting the board
- the logistics and back end' of the business managing the supply function, stock control, pricing solutions, potential acquisitions
- the management, growth and expansion of the business within the UK and internationally
- the development, management and motivation of staff and providing assistance with continuous improvement
To succeed as the Financial Director you must have extensive relevant experience within commercial finance, ideally from within a fast-growing start-up business. You must also be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience.
Additionally, for this role you should be a proven leader with sound commercial judgment. Your strong systems knowledge particularly Excel and Sage; and your hardworking approach are also vital.
