Job Profile
Our client is one of the most respected names in the banking sector is looking to recruit an Area Manager to cover Sheffield to Derby (M1 corridor). You will lead the sales performance activities through line management of the Commercial Financial Planning Specialists and in partnership with the Area Directors & Area Managers, BancAssurance & Mortgage Sales, to maximise short and long-term profitability for the Bank within your designated Area achieving target in a compliant manner. You will prepare and deliver a realistic regulated business plan, based on an assessment of the local opportunity including the profile of Commercial business clients and the competitive environment, to ensure agreed targets and objectives are achieved. You will pro-actively promote a High Performance Culture, providing regular coaching and other one-to-one support to direct reports and other colleagues to maximise their immediate performance development, develop longer term potential and quickly identify and effectively manage under performance. You will ensure all staff are appropriately recruited, trained, accredited, deployed and motivated to ensure their individual and collective performance and productivity is of the required standard and levels of skill and competence meet business requirements.

Applicant Requirements
Applicants applying for this vacancy must have relevant experience in managing direct sales people and holding compliance supervisor status throughout that period. You will have a high level of understanding of FSA and T&C requirements. You must hold the full FPC or equivalent and AFPC/ACII or other professional qualifications advantageous. You will have a history of successful personal sales experience or managing sales through others.
