Job Description

Purchase Ledger Clerk required for a construction sector organisation based in Birmingham. Your duties will include processing high volume of invoices and matching them against purchase orders. You will also be familiar with reconciling supplier statements and getting BACS and cheques payment authorised. Other duties includes general accounts administration.
You must be an experienced purchase ledger clerk, who has the enthusiasm to grow in to this role. You must be able to show good numerical skills as you will be dealing with a high number of invoices. You must also be able to work under a tight deadlines and meet company targets. My client is looking for someone who is able organise their workload and manage their desk effectively without supervision.
My client is a well known construction company based in Birmingham for over 40 years and have built their success by building quality relationships with clients and customers. They have a small friendly accounts team and are based their modern offices. This is an ideal purchase ledger clerk role that gives you the opportunity for a permanent contract after a successful temporary period.
