Job Description
Are you looking to take your Accounting Policy experience to the next level of responsibility and input? An accounting policy expert at VP level is required by one of the world's leading global financial services firm.
As part of the corporate accounting team, you will become an integral part in defining and maintaining worldwide accounting policies for the firm and consults on their application.
Your specific responsibilities will include heading the London-based team. You will provide accounting advice directly to a wide range of people including senior management, front office, government relations, tax, legal and finance. You will be the primary accounting advisor to the firm's European reputational risk committee. You will represent the firm in industry and other lobbying efforts.
You will have attained an appropriate financial qualification, preferably ACA or equivalent with significant experience in both IFRS and US GAAP gained in the accounting policy function of a financial services firm or in a senior audit or technical advisory role within a big four audit firm. Extensive knowledge of financial instruments and related financial structuring is required.
