Job Description
This investment bank is looking for experienced Proprietary Trading Product Controller to take their career to the next level. Our client has continually broken new ground in advising our clients on strategic transactions, in pioneering the global expansion of finance and capital markets, and in providing new opportunities for individual and institutional investors.
The group is responsible for the production of Daily P&L, analysis of revenues (including attribution to Greeks), currency P&L hedging, verification of terms of new trades and analysis of booking and accounting treatment, P&L reporting, month end reconciliations (books to reported, balance sheet) and applicable valuation reviews.
The key responsibilities for the Proprietary Trading Product Controller include:
Analysis and control of the Distressed Debt trading desk activity including:
Profit and loss reporting and analysis
Position and risk profile analysis
Liaison with the desk and operations to resolve any trade exceptions
Review month end reconciliation between reported numbers and the books of the firm, including
resolution of exceptions
Daily mark review and P&L analysis
The suitable candidate for the Proprietary Trading Product Controller position should have a good understanding of product valuation. You should also have experience of accounting treatments for a wide range of products. They are looking for a candidate who has a proven numerate background, strong interpersonal skills and demonstrates a strong desire to learn about Proprietary Trading with emphasis on Distressed Debt.
