Job Description
This retail bank is looking for an experienced Product Controller to take their career to the next level. Our client provides a wide range of structured solutions across all areas of financial risk management including foreign exchange, interest rate, credit and inflation to the entire corporate franchise.
This role is within the Capital Markets middle office team, which currently has 8 members. This team focuses on providing management information, maintaining and creating effective relationships with Front office, finance, risk and management. The Debt Capital Markets area, enables access to the wholesale market revenue pool, bringing aligned capabilities across Financial Markets and Structured Finance onto a common platform.
The key responsibilities for the Product Controller include:
-Daily P&L production and analysis
-Performance analysis/commentary on trading activities
-Valuation controls and the application of reserving policy
-Balance sheet control and substantiation
-Monthly Performance reporting to Senior Management.
Our client is seeking a newly qualified accountant with banking experience along with knowledge of the products from a middle office or product control function. The candidate will be expected to have a good knowledge of financial instruments, be a team player and work closely with the other middle office teams.
