Project Accountant (9 12 Month Contract)

£40,000 Plus Family Health Care, Pension
With over 90% of NHS Trusts using their IT services or products, our client is a market leader. Offering commissioning, patient care, business and workforce IT solutions, they make a difference to businesses and the quality of healthcare. They are now looking to recruit a Project Accountant on a contract basis to cover maternity leave.
Joining the Finance function, as the Project Accountant you will play a key role in developing the profile of finance within the organisation, by providing financial decision support for specific projects.
In this position your main responsibilities will include:
- Consolidation of monthly forecast
- Calculation of monthly sales commission payments
- Financial decision support
- Process improvement initiatives
- Supporting and developing less senior members of the finance team
To succeed as the Project Accountant you must be a qualified Accountant (CIMA or ACCA), with previous experience in a similar role. You will also need strong knowledge of Excel, excellent communication skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to work both on your own, and as part of a team.
Knowledge of reporting tools such as Essbase or Hyperion would be beneficial to your application.
