Our client is a Top 20 Chartered Accountancy firm with 24 partners and c190 staff based in new offices at Tower Hill, London, E1W. They are now looking to recruit an Audit Manager to join their London Audit Group that comprises 6 Partners, a management group of 10 Managers, Assistant Managers and Supervisors, 8 Seniors and 34 ACA trainees in their 1st, 2nd and 3rd years.
In this role you will join a group that has seen significant growth over the past 4-5 years with the firm building an enviable reputation in the City for acting on behalf of dynamic clients, particularly AIM listed companies, with our client's Group ranking 11th in the UK for services to AIM businesses. For the right person there is a very real opportunity to be made a Partner in the short to medium term.
As the Audit Manager you will work on a mixed portfolio of clients, including the firm's largest audit client, a property investment and trading business. This property business is a privately owned group and the firm's largest client, both in terms of size and recurring fees - making this position exceptionally high profile within the firm.
Your role will be to work alongside the partner to project manage and oversee the work, and concurrently to identify opportunities for growth and/or extra services. The size of the total portfolio is likely to be in the region of £600-£700k GRF (Gross Recurring Fees).
Aside from this primary client, the group plans to structure the rest of the portfolio around the new Audit Manager's skills and interests and there is the opportunity for the right candidate to work on AIM listed businesses, and special assignments such as corporate finance transactions.
To succeed as the Audit Manager, you must possess extensive relevant audit experience, and you must be ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
