Job Description
Payroll And Human Resources Officer required on a temp to perm basis. The initial focus will be on the payroll side of things and you will be responsible for c650 employees including new starters / leavers, deductions, change in pay rates using a time and attendance system and a computerised payroll package. You will report in to the human resources manager and your role will progress to also involve managing the absence system, providing appropriate advice, support and coaching to managers and supervisors with regard to employment policies and procedures and other HR tasks as required.
You will be fully conversant with all aspects of payroll having used Time and Attendance systems previously. You may be studying towards a human resources qualification such as CIPD and have a good understanding of human resources development, employee relations and employment law. Experience in recruiting and managing work placements and work experience would be an advantage as you will also be responsible for these areas. You will be a confident individual who is used to working in roles which require high degrees of confidentiality and accuracy.
My client are a manufacturing business based in Erdington, they have many long standing employees and good retention rates as they look after their staff and encourage personal development. They offer pension and share option schemes to their employees and this will also form part of your duties. Hours of work 8 - 4.30, 8 - 1 on a Friday.
Only applicants with a suitable amount of UK based finance experience and who have a legal right to work within the UK will be considered.
