This leading UK mutual fund manager and its subsidiaries now manage over $280 billion for millions of investors around the world including major institutions as well as private individuals.

THE ROLE:

The Fixed Income Investment Team manages approximately $35 billion for investors across the globe. It comprises Portfolio Management, Trading, Quant and Credit Analysis and Investment Operations. The team is based predominantly in London and Hong Kong. The Fixed Income Risk and Attribution function is a critical component of increased usage of complex instruments such as derivatives and structured instruments.

This role reports to the Head of Fixed Income Risk and Attribution. As part of a small team of two, the role includes:

• Ensuring that all parts of the attribution process runs smoothly including an understanding of the whole transaction lifecycle
• Working with the Fixed Income team to understand and meet their requirements, especially as they evolve
• Responding to ad hoc requests regarding risk and attribution
• Working closely with other teams that supply information to the process
• Working with the head of the department to contribute to various tactical and strategic initiatives.

THE CANDIDATE:

Desirable Attributes:

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail essential
• Experience in fixed income risk and attribution preferred
• Knowledge of fixed income derivatives a strong advantage
• IT skills including Excel, Access and VBA
• Knowledge of Wilshire risk/performance software would be an advantage
• Willingness and potential to take IMC
