Job Title: Finance Manager / Fund accountant

This leading Hedge Fund is currently looking for a Finance Manager to work closely with the funds CFO. The role on offer is extremely varied and offers a fantastic opportunity to gain experience with all of the financial mechanics of a successful Hedge Fund.

Suitable candidates are expected to be recent or newly qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA professionals. Candidates coming from a Big 4 background are strongly desired also.

The role will be responsible for all financial control matters to include -

• Finance - Accounting including book keeping and budgeting, Banking, Payroll, Prepare monthly accounts, Liaise with auditors, Tax planning and compliance (VAT returns, Income Tax on Partnership, Corporation Tax on UK Service Co and US Tax on US group entities)
• Regulatory Compliance - Ensure compliance with FSA, SEC and SFC requirements, Liaise with regulators, Project manage new regulatory requirements, Oversee regular capital adequacy returns,
• In addition cross training will be provided to learn more about the Fund Accounting and Operational aspects of the business to include-
• Fund Accounting - Perform ad hoc reporting on the Fund (e.g. Brokerage cost analysis, FX Hedging) Liaise with auditors and administrator during regular month end reporting and through the audit of the Funds, Assist Operations in reconciliation projects.

Skills:

Qualifications Required Newly or recently qualified ACA (or possibly CIMA/ ACCA) Excellent academics, Knowledge of Sun or similar accounting system, Excel proficient including auditing and control, Basic excel macro skill, Access database knowledge.
