The Client:
A fantastic opportunity currently exists Raising Assets for a leading independent fund of hedge funds managing approximately $1.7 billion of investments with a fourteen year track record of providing alternative investment fund solutions.
The Role:
Assets under management and personnel have grown considerably over the past few years and they are now looking for an additional Business Development Consultant to help seek new clients and new markets for the next stage of the funds growth. Reporting to the Marketing Director, the ideal candidate should be a self-starter who is able to develop the market for potential clients appropriate for investing into the range of funds of hedge funds.

The Candidate:

• Professional business development executive with a proven track record of new sales success in this industry.
• Has an excellent understanding of the very high level of service required to be offered to clients, and often exceeds clients’ expectations in terms of service and maintaining such client relationships over the long-term.
• Has knowledge of the hedge fund industry and key investment knowledge relevant to business development.
• Sensitive to the needs of potential clients.
• Effective at adapting the approach to different people.
• Enjoys adapting to different situations and willing to travel.
• Prioritises top tasks effectively and has the ability to adapt and change these priorities according to circumstances.
• Highly articulate presenting clear and concise sales presentations.
• Presents herself / himself well.
• To work on own initiative.
• Persistent
• Is a good ambassador for the fund.
• While not prescriptive, the ideal candidate will focus on developing the markets of the UK, Europe, the Gulf, Asia and Latin America. A knowledge of foreign languages and of certain regions would also be useful.
